Ok first question, is you purchased this vehicle used from a dealer as they are recommending going back there?
That is a possibility, something is affecting the computer network if you were at a dealer and they couldnt communicate with the PCM/engine computer. If you had this at a dealer, they should have been able to tell you more such as if there was a network communcation failure with other modules or codes in the abs, etc. Did the charging system check out ok?
Ok. Need to know more about the computer system and charging system operation first. Any wiring in the front area needs to be inspected if it was in an accident for sure. Check all routing, pinched harness. Proper ground connections to start.
