What is a pinpoint test and how do I do it
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 3 months ago.

1- common problems if fan is replaced and same issue is still exist , the harness connector needs checking, try to wiggle it by hand see if that makes fan come on

2- unplug ecm connector and cooling fan connector and use an ohm meter and test for continuity between all wires from fan connector to ecm, if all wires has continuity , then change the ecm

Pinpoint test procedure

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 3 months ago.

Test continue

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 3 months ago.

That is low mileage for a defective ecu on it, but testing is needed,

the old fan could have shorted out and burned either the wires in harness or the ecu drivers internally for the fan are burned .

Please let me know if you need anything else on it

Hope I was helpful to you
