Does the noise get louder when you rev the engine? Does it go away if the belt is removed and engine run?

New expert here. Dos the vehicle have to be moving or does it do it standing still?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
it does and doesn't change while turning the steering wheel

This sounds like a bad 4x4 hub at one of the front wheels or you have a vacuum leak in the 4x4 system. The 4x4 system applies vacuum to the 4x4 hubs at both front wheels to disengage the front hubs and releases vacuum when the 4x4 is engaged to engage the front hubs.
