The constant hot wire going to the trailer to charge break

Customer Question

the constant hot wire going to the trailer to charge break battery and auxiliary is not hot
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: worked when hooked to other truck and now issue continues with 2nd (brand new) trailer.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2000 F 250
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, I checked the fuse (#28 I think). I found some bad fuses that fixed the signal issues, but this fuse checked out ok.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: no
