Customer Question

I have a 14 Ford F550 that was hit by lightening. We have a new ECM to install in the truck but we can not communicate with the truck to remove the data from the old module to be able to program the new module. Is there a special program to be able to program this truck.

Hi. In this case to get the new ecm programmed you need to use the IDS and go online to Fords website and install the original as-built data information into the new ecm. That procedure is used when the information can not be removed from original module.
