Customer Question

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion with a 2.3L engine. I reset the check engine light and this light will stay off when I start the engine and drive the car for any amount of time or distance. However, once I turn the car off and restart the motor, the engine light comes back on. What is causing this to happen?

Have you checked for trouble codes with a code reader to see what codes in the PCM (Engine Computer) is causing the check engine light to come on?
