2004 Ford Focus 2.0 zetec. Overheated and coolant leaking.

Customer Question

2004 Ford Focus 2.0 zetec. Overheated and coolant leaking. Fix leak(replace coolant bottle and hose). Test drove after 20 mins at idle it starts overheated. Low speed fan does not come on but high speed fan does come onwhen a/c is turn on. Replace cooling fan resistor and low speed fan relay due to both melted. Still over heats. Commanded high speed fan on and turn on, commanded low speed fans on and would not turn on... Ford diagrams and wire colors are not wire the same as in the diagrams

Have you applied power and ground to the low speed fan and verified it works?

Is the low speed relay getting 2 powers and one ground when commanded on?

The high speed fan which is working should be able to cool it enough, are you sure the overheat did not war the head or blow out the headgasket allowing combustion air into the cooling system?
