2002 f150 blower stopped blowing all together suddenly, Fx4,

Customer Question

2002 f150 blower stopped blowing all together suddenly
JA: What is the model of your '02 Ford?
Customer: Fx4
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. Well, it doesn't sound like resistor because it doesn't work at all. I'm trying right now to figure out fuse and relay location.
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has the car been starting normally?
Customer: Starts great. 230,000
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi. Have you looked at the blower motor connector to see if it is burnt? Or have you tried tapping on the motor to see if it will start?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No burn. No start

DO you have a test light?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Somewhere. Not finding it right now

Is it automatic ir manual climate control?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Manual
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 8 months ago.

Not much you can check without a test light. But first check fuse 105 (40amp) under the hood.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It's good
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 8 months ago.

OK. Inside the truck check fuse 24 (10amp)

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It's good. Pulled the relay by the blower.
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 8 months ago.

At this point I think you may want to try and supply your own power and ground to the blower motor to see if it works. You may have a relay problem but I would rule out the motor first.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
OK. Best place, way to jump power to it?
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 8 months ago.

Use an external battery and use jumper wires from the battery to blower motor connector. Or use long jumper wires from the trucks battery.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Which one is the hot on that blower?
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 8 months ago.

Power on the brown and yellow wire terminal
