The radio and AC controls are called the Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM). It is an actual module that communicates the demands of the drivers to the HVAC (AC module) and the ACM (Audio Control Module). The problem may be just the FCIM, but turn the vehicle on and the lights and see if the buttons light up. If they do, you will have to replace the FCIM which is the complete radio/AC control panel, (the buttons).
