I have a '97 F-150 that came factory equipped with a 4.6 in

Customer Question

I have a '97 F-150 that came factory equipped with a 4.6 in which I swapped out for a 5.4 from a 2000 Expedition. Can I get by with changing the ECM and wiring harness to the engine or do I need to replace the entire harness under the hood?

PCM yes, main engine harness should be similar. Long as pcm from donor vehicle is running same transmission would be the main thing. The two engine are similiar but may have a few differences between the different model year.
