My front driver seat wont move back or forward in my 2011

Customer Question

my front driver seat wont move back or forward in my 2011 ford edge
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix with Ford. The Ford Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: the seat moves up and down but not back or forward. I have tried raising and lowering the seat but that is not working
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Great! What have you tried so far?
Customer: just raising and lowering the back of the seat
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Ford Mechanic should know about your Ford?
Customer: no
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

If you unplug the motor under the seat and hook your volt meter into the two wires on the harness side and and activate the switch both ways and see if you have battery voltage. If you do the motor is bad. If you don't then there are other issues. Let me know what you findThanks

I strive to provide 5 star service. If I have satisfactorily answered your question please rate it as such and hit submit. Doing so is the only way I get compensated for my time. Also it doesn't close the discussion so we will still be able to communicate if there are further questions.
Thanks
Sonny
