I am having two issue. The first is the "compass no response" in the dashboard of my ford 2007 Edge

Is the tick noise only while driving or is it coming from the engine near the belt area?The compass no response indicates to start with a new compass module. The ticking noise may be coming from the front cover from a faulty chain tensioner or guide. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On your screen at the top you should see a rating 1-5 stars and a green submit button.
