2008 Ford Explorer - looking to keyless door entry JA:

Customer Question

2008 Ford Explorer - looking for code to keyless door entry
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix with Ford. The Ford Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: Where on a 2008 Ford Explorer is the factory set 5-digit entry code. The manual says that it is 'marked on the computer module'. Where is that?
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Great! What have you tried so far?
Customer: Looking on the Internet for where is the computer module
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Ford Mechanic should know about your Ford?
Customer: No
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Is it an Explorer 4 door or the Explorer Sport Trac?

It should be located on the dash fuse box which is under the dash on the drivers side. Or you can stop by any Ford/Lincoln dealership and have then connect their scan tool to it to retrieve the 5 digit code.
