Does the starter crank over? If not, check the battery voltage and if it's low, charge the battery then have the charging system checked.
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
answer was not helpful. I had already jump started car and taken it to Walmart for a new battery
Expert:  Mike S. replied 6 months ago.
What do you mean my answer didn't help? I asked you to check the battery voltage and you end up getting a new battery. Now why didn't my answer help?
Expert:  Mike S. replied 6 months ago.
Did you get the charging system checked? Probably not, so it is going to happen again.
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
1. I did not have meter to check battery voltage
2. your answer came after the fact and
3. was too general and obvious
Therefore it was not helpful
Expert:  Mike S. replied 6 months ago.
Ok, but did you get the charging system checked? If not, it will probably happen again cause batteries usually don't suddenly go dead unless either something is left on, there is a short circuit draining the battery or the alternator isn't charging the battery.
