Customer Question

the gear shift won't engage in any gear...whether or not the car is turned on
JA: Fortunately, the mechanics here speak car like it's their native tongue. They're great at getting to the bottom of issues -- including any shift-related ones -- and it would be my pleasure to connect you with the best mechanic for the job. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: the gear shift appears to be broken...just 'floats'
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: yes, I would like to...don't know where to start
JA: Great! What have you tried so far?
Customer: just trying to get the gear shift to engage
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Ford Mechanic should know about your Ford?
Customer: no, nothing else wrong and it ran fine the last time I drove it.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.
