I changed the battery in the key fob for my 2011 ford fusion hybrid. how do I reprogram it?

Customer: I changed the battery in it and need to reprogram it

It was working, but not well so I suspected the battery. It does nothing at all now, and I replaced the battery twice, to be sure the new one was good.
