Customer Question

2001 Ford escape battery light comes on and goes off. Had charging system checked and they everything was ok. Alicia
JA: The mechanics can certainly shed some "light" on this -- sorry! Sometimes I can't help myself;-) Seriously, though, the mechanics are real masters when it comes to fixing things, and it would be my pleasure to put you in touch with the best one for this. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: Battery light comes on and goes off. Seems to stay off once car has warmed up and driving at highway speeds. Light comes on when driving slower and using lights, heater or AC. Alicia
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: no
JA: OK! The Ford Mechanic will help you with the diagnostics so you are sure to get this fixed right. Is there anything else important you think the Ford Mechanic should know about your Ford?
Customer: It has 105,000 miles on it
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Thank you for allowing me to help you with this concern today and am sorry to hear that this is happening. I will have to ask you a few questions so that I can get a better understanding as to what may be going on with your Escape.Where did you get the charging system checked? Professional Repair shop?Did they also check the drive belt for tightness and the connections for looseness/corrosion?
