Expedition: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT-2003 FORD EXPEDITION @166500

Customer Question

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT-2003 FORD EXPEDITION @166500 MILES-
Originally had 2 error codes (P2197 & P0133) and replaced both upper bank 1 & 2 with Ford oxygen sensors. Check engine light went out when mechanic started vehicle and left idling for 10 minutes. Vehicle drove fine going home. When I started vehicle again check engine light came on again. What would cause this and what is best way to resolve this issue?

On this model vehicle I would suspect you have an intake gasket leaking of possibly a crack in a rubber hose causing an unmetered air leak. On the back of the throttle body s a rubber elbow that is known to deteriorate and fall apart. The PCV hose can come apart also. If those are ok I would look at replacing the intake gaskets.
