Customer Question

Replaced burned up coil (#1) in 2007 Ford Edge. Also installed all new plugs. Died again during test drive. Number one coil is burned up again. Need help? What's next? Replace PCM?

Here is a TSB from Ford for this concern, you replace all the coils and spark plugs along with the PCM.

PCM is ready for run//install out of box?

No, it will have to a PMI, programmable module installation done to it before it will run, we use IDS scan tools from Ford to do this.

Also it states PATS system will need to be programmed and a parameter reset with the scan tool also.

You will need to have 2 keys available for programming.
