E350: 1996 Ford E350 7.3 diesel. changed the mechanical fuel

Customer Question

1996 Ford E350 7.3 diesel. changed the mechanical fuel pump to electric. New injectors, changed out the pcm, idm, cam sensor, icm. Still getting a loping rough idle. Higher rpms seems fine. What do we try next?

we are getting no codes. So changed out the pcm with one from a 1998 rig. It would run smooth but throws all sorts of codes.

Hi there.I can only help you if you have access to a scan tool that can read engine data (PID), otherwise I would just be guessing. Do you have that scan tool??
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
yes i do. what values from it do you need?

With the original PCM plugged in, I'd like to see any data you could get me on fuel pressure, cam signal, APP signal, RPM and engine temp. Also, does this loping happen after a cold start only or at all times? One last thing, does the engine idle OK if you start it with the trans in N instead of P?
