Ford escape: 2011 ford escape. has failed to start on 2 occasions.

2011 ford escape. has failed to start on 2 occasions. first time called nrma 1hr later when they arrived car started. dealer mechanic thinks fuel pump or breaker switch in line. breker switch is for safety after crash, so he ruled this out. car running fine but this has happenned twice and starts after some time. it is a fuel delivery problem. ford fuel pump cost $1300, so want to make sure this is the problem.

Hi. At this point what you need to do is to get a fuel pressure gauge and install it onto the engine. Then next time it will not start you can manually see the fuel pressure. The other option is to check for power at the fuel pump when the car will not start. This will determine if the problem is the fuel pump or power not making it to pump. Can you do any of these checks and let me know?
