How do I put my f150 in neutral when is is stuck in park JA:

Customer Question

How do I put my f150 in neutral when is is stuck in park
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Truck will not come out of park. I just don't know how to get it to neutral so I can override the brake. No fuses or lights are out but the brake will not release so I can put it gear. I'm locked in the park position
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Ford Mechanics generally expect a deposit of about $28 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Is this a column or floor shifter?

Column

do your brake lights work? If it was a center console shifter there is a bypass. To bypass the column shifter you need to remove the lower steering wheel cover or you can disconnect the transmission linkage under at the transmission.
