2004 Thunderbird came equipped with automatic HVAC systems that included a Dual Coolant Control Valve that allowed hot coolant to flow into the heater core. That valve included two 12 volt solenoids that were powered via a 20 gauge wire from the Auxiliary Coolant Pump Relay on a circuit protected by a 10-Amp fuse; all of which would make it highly unlikely to cause a fire.I have served as expert witness on a couple of cases that involved vehicle fires, and in both cases those fires were the result of shoddy workmanship on the part of the mechanics who had previously worked on the vehicles. Please let me know if you have any other questions.Best Regards.
