Ford Focus: I'm working on a 2001 Ford Focus with a 2.0 duel

Customer Question

I'm working on a 2001 Ford Focus with a 2.0 duel overheard cam.. I have replaced battery, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuses, and relays. The car drives but after only a few minutes of driving it will either act like its going to stall or will just flat out stall. Has hard time going up hills but will go in reverse perfectly up hills... What could cause this?? I also just replaced the throttle position sensor

Hi. Sounds like you could have a plugged cat converter. It might be worth either doing an exhaust back pressure test with a back pressure gauge. Or removing the cat and /or looking inside it to see if it is broke or driving the car with the cat off.
