I removed the old cylinder with ease, and making sure to not

Customer Question

I removed the old cylinder with ease, and making sure to not rotate the key in the new cylinder I inserted it. It locked into place, but will only rotate between 'on' and 'off', not ahead to 'start' or back to lock the column and remove the key. 94 f250

The old cylinder needs to be removed and the new one installed from the RUN position. Did you do it that way? If yes, but still won't turn, did the old cylinder turn freely to all positions?

I found all sorts of junk under there. I'm going to replace the entire steering column. I don't need any help.
