Ok I looked up wrench symbol, the first thing that needs to be done was a test on the PCM or computer for a code, then a determination on where the problem can be found with a pinpoint test. I know for a fact a transmission concern will turn on the wrench light, engine oil temp too high, transmission temp, ect. I would not buy a accel pedal just yet, I would check for trouble codes to see if there is another problem, it could be transmission.
