Hi. Have you checked the codes in the computer?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
No not yet but also oil symbol came on at 1 point but not on no more
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 9 months ago.

Ok. There could be a lot of issues to cause this. Oil level should be checked, fuel filters should be replaced if it has been over 15000 miles. An exhaust temp sensor that has failed can cause this. The high pressure fuel pump is common to fail. Can you get the code checked?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I'll need to take it to a shop to do so n hook up fee is pricey itself
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 9 months ago.

You could buy a code reader from walmart. Or most auto part stores will scan your codes for free.

232 and 264 or
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 9 months ago.

Codes are 4 digit numbers with a P, C, B, or U in front of the number.

A cheap code reader will be able to retreive them from the computer.
