Hello, when the VSS signal is working does the speedometer continue to work?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
acts up when abs light is illuminated
Expert:  James replied 9 months ago.

Have you replaced the pigtail to the rear abs sensor. That is where I would begin. The wire harness pigtail gets pretty beat up from the rocks and can creat intermittent signals.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Replaced pigtail and vss, replaced abs computer. ..no change.. after further investigation. ... speedometer works good when accelerating or holding steady speed... vss signal drops to 0 when vehicle is slowing. Also swapped a known good cluster, could tone ring in rear differential be shifting when de accelerating
Expert:  James replied 9 months ago.

It possible. The tone rings can warp from Time to time. They are pressed on but I have seen them damaged.
