The battery light comes on and the message "check charging

Customer Question

the battery light comes on and the message "check charging system" comes up, and the charging gage starts to go to 0. when the charging gage gets close to zero, it starts to run rough. when it quits it won't start again. but if you wait an hour or two, it will start and run fine for 50 miles or more before the same thing happens. the battery is only two days old. no codes show up on my code reader.

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

It sounds like its probably a bad alternator. Have you done any testing?

Sorry I missed your reply on this. Do you still need help? If so do you have a multimeter to do some testing?
