Have Ford Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi, my name is ***** ***** it ever start after he installed the batteries?
ok, are you at the truck right now or is it with the mechanic?
Is there an antitheft light flashing on the dash, when you try to start it?
do all the dash lights come on, when the key is in the run position?
what does it do when you turn the key to start?
this sounds like a ground problem, do you have a test light or a voltmeter?
yes, even a cheap test light would help, but a volt meter would be better,Tim
Yes, it is likely, did he clean the termnlas before installing the new batteries?
are there any codes stored in the computer?
let me know,Tim
can you check the #40 fuse in the fuse bix under the hood and see if it is blown?
we also need to see if it has power, can you get a volt meter?
with a test light or a volter meter, you just check each side if the fuse for power, with it installed,Tim
yes, put the fuse back in, and touch the 2 metal tabs on top of the fuse and see if both sides have power,Tim
was this running fine, before he replaced the batteries?
ok, I think what happened was he disconnected each battey, and the computer has lost its programming, does your tuner allow you to remove the egr delete programming and put it back to stock?
then if you can reinstall the stock programming and see if it starts,Tim
let me know how it goes,Tim
