Ford E450: I have a 2003 ford e450 that wouldn't start after

Customer Question

Hi I have a 2003 ford e450 that wouldn't start after 2 months of sitting it has 30,000 miles. So I hit the the gas tank with a rubber mallet while turning the ignition on and off. It now runs fine do I need to replace the fuel pump or can I let it go for anther year?

Theres no way to really know how long before that pump will be dead, but I don't think it's going to last you another year. I would suggest replacing it sooner than later.
