The abbreviations are standard but if you need the text to table let me know

Thanks

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
There are 10 wires in the connector
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

The datalink connector is a 16 pin standard size and shape. Are you seeing another connector that has been cut?

Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

That shows the location of the datalink connector.

Let me know what you are seeing or post a picture of it please

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
no this is where the data link harness is coming out and the wiring still taped together just cut clean
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

Maybe it is the trailer brake connection?

Can you post a picture of what you are seeing?

Can you find the real data link connector and verify that it as I posted above?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
I know where the trailer brake connector is and it is intact. I do not have the original data link connector. All I see is the 10 wires coming out where the data link comes out of the harness.
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

OK, then you do have the position of the 8 wires as shown in the first diagram I posted above and the colors match those?

What color are the two left over wires?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
brown wire and blue/pink wire are the two other wires
Customer: replied 12 months ago.
it is a brown wire and a light blue/yellow wire
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

Do you have 2 light blue/yellow? One is the ground in pin 5.

Do all the other colors match up?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
What is the brown wire? I can make sure both light blue/white are ground in reference to the frame
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

So you do have two lb/y wires?

You also have 2 violet wires?

And two lb/white wires?

Let me know what you are seeing so I can help. These wires go to specific places and have different functions so they have to be correct or you can fry a computer.

Please help me to help you by responding to the questions I am asking

Thanks

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
I have 2 lb/w wires, 2 vt, black, b/y, pk/g, w/g(these two are tape together) brown, blue/pink and these two are taped together
Expert:  George H. replied 12 months ago.

Ok, lets do the ones you do know and then work on the leftovers.

One of the violet runs to the PCM and the other runs to the rest of the computers. The one that goes to splice 281 in the harness near the connector location is the violet that goes into pin cavity 3 >click here<

The other violet goes to 13

The light blue/white wire that has 12 volts goes to pin 16

The other light blue/white goes to pin 7

The pink/green is 14

The white/green is 6

Black is pin 4

Light blue/yellow that is grounded is pin 5

I count 10 wires in your list above, the brown and the blue/pink are the only ones I don't have a location for correct? I don't think they go to the data link connector as they are not shown in the wiring diagram. They could be for another connector so I will look to see what is in the area but they are not used in the data connector.
