Customer Question

I'm getting error codes
P06B8
P0884

The hood ajar switch is located on the hood latch itself and is part of the latch assembly. You can either try adjusting the hood latch to repair the problem or replae the hood latch. The hood ajar switch is part of the latch itself.

Are you having any driveability problems?

These codes are related to the PCM (Engine Computer).

Have you had any service work done or recalls done to you Fiesta in the last year?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The hood, Fender, bumper, radiator was replaced. The thing that probably stands out the most, however, is the (wrong) ECU (main computer thing attached to the side of the battery) from a 2015 was put on. Car wouldn't start - the right ECU was put on, car started.

I tried to reset the codes myself, but it doesn't let me. Any idea why? I've reset codes several dozens of times, but this time it doesn't allow me.
Expert:  A. Penland replied 1 year ago.

How are you resetting them?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
