Does the engine crank over by the starter?
Thank you. Do a these checks and please let me know the results. I need you to be my eyes since I physically cannot see your truck.
Turn the key to on and see if the yellow check engine light comes on in the instrument cluster.
Then try to start the engine and see if the check engine light goes out while cranking.
Then, on the passenger side of the engine on the intake manifold, are the metal fuel lines for the fuel injectors. There is a test port for the fuel system on these rails near the back side on the passenger side. It will look like a metal valve stem for a tire. Push the needle valve down and see if you get a large spray of fuel.
No problem. Have him do the checks when he has time and reply back on this page when he is ready.
Ok. Make sure the check engine light is coming on when the key is turned on.
You could have a bad fuel pump. Go to the fuel pump inertia switch located under the passenger side of the dahs behind the kick panel and check for power to at the switch when the key is turned on and power out on the pink wire while cranking. If power is present, the fuel pump has failed in the fuel tank.
No power on the DARK GREEN wire while cranking the engine?
Sorry about the wire color.
Check fuse #10 in the engine bay fuse box. Make sure it has power and is not blown. It should be a 20 amp fuse. Then, swap out the fuel pump relay in the same fuse box. Then check for power again.
Yes. The relays are not that expensive.
But also check fuse 18 and the PCM power relay. They supply power to the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump relay fuse.
