HI,I THROUGHT I NEEDED A FUEL PUMP FOR MY 2004 MUSTANG WITH 3.9..I PUT 1 ON AND CAR RAN FIND FOR BOUT 5 DAYS. AND THEN I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN IT WILL TUEN OVER BUT WANT START..SO I THROUGHT IT WAS THE PUMP AGAIN SO I PUT ANOTHER PUMP BUT WANT START

Ok. We need to make sure your Mustangs fuel pump has power going to it. It has an inertia switch, fuel pump driver module and the Constant control relay module which control power to the fuel pump.

if either one of these fail, the Mustang will not start.

You will need a test light or a digital multi meter to do a few tests. Please let me know if you have one of these.

I assume they were good,they was supposely test by a certified tech .i paid him to diagnose the problem and he said fire was getting to the pump.

Did he replace the complete fuel pump assembly or just the pump motor?
Where did they get the replacement part?
