i have a 1997 mustang 3.8 automatic. 102k. the car runs great. the button on the gearshiftis becoming increasingly hard to push in to get out of park. it was always more difficult in cold weather now doing it even in warm weather. What can be done with this problem before it becomes a real problem when i cannot get it to move.

Are you having an issue with the shift interlock where its not getting a signal from the stop lamp switch to move it out of park or just the button is sticking?
