I just installed a new thermostat and took the PCV valve out

Customer Question

I just installed a new thermostat and took the PCV valve out to tighten valve cover bolts easier. I didn't check the PCV valve I just put it back in. After starting it up the check engine light came on and it idles cold really low at about 500 rpms. It has an A4LD automatic and now when its in 4th gear its at about 3000 rpms. I just installed a new temp. sensor and throttle body sensor but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hello ,The reason for the late shifting issue is you must have knocked off a vaccum line somewhere......1 goes to the transmission from the engine compartment.....it has rubber ends 1 on the transmission modulator & the other up towards the firewall Thanks Joey
