Hello and thank you for your question,

The most common cause for the type of problem you are having on your 2006 is usually caused by the front pump and or input shift stripping out causing the pump to fail and the torque converter to not be able to turn. The PCM (computer) cannot electrically command neutral on this transmission so its safe to assume the problem is not electrical . Unfortunately In order to determine if the front pump and out put shaft have failed the transmission will need to come out
