Hello what do you need to know

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Swapping pats from 1996 explorer with computer to a 1999 explorer ,what do I have to do for the swap ,no title for the 1999, good title from the 96
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Took computer out of 96 put in 99 lights on dashboard r on ,a week later no start.
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

It doesnt run it at all, the pats system worked for a week and now it doesnt? The theft light is blinking when the key is turned to on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Will run with old computer back in car
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Won't let fuel pump run
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Ok so it doesnt run at all with the conversion. The instrument cluster is the pats module and would need the vin number to match from the cluster to the pcm. Reprogramming of the vehicle for the modules to match would be required and probably wouldnt easily be done since you are mix matching systems which are different calibration software files

How about the ring on steering collimator for key pod
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Transceiver reads key code, if it was bad it wouldnt start with old pcm. should be same type of setup. Would need to run diagnostic to see what codes are stored when theft lamp blinks, since you are flip flopping systems. Be easier to get original system working properly im sure

Can't get title from Va for the 99 explorer
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have clean title from Ny from the 96 and the car for all parts
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

then system diagnosis would need to be done see if any issues with network communication, pats codes, pcm or instrument cluster codes.def a difference between 96 n 99 model

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
To get inspection in ny Thay will have to plug in to state computer for title numbers and computer on car has to match up
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Or local shop with a high end scanner.

Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Or a local locksmith

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
can i get software for laptop with a power plug to plug into the car
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Yes but depending on the software it might not give you pats security access.local locksmith would have it, just call around and they can come to you check it out and know the ins and outs of interchangability or how to trick it out if needed,
