If you have a timing light, check the ignition timing while cranking the engine to make sure it is at least close enough to start and if it is double-check the firing order and direction. By the way, tell me the firing order you used and direction, clockwise-counter clockwise?

which engine is this?

If the timing and firing order are ok, replace the spark plugs and try again.

Did it start after spark plugs?
