I HAVE A 1991 F350 WITH 460 ENGINE. WAS REBUILT 4 YRS AGO BEEN RUNNING GREAT. RECENTLY I START ENGINE runs at idle try to push accelerator down and engine dies. if i pump accelerate will run but act as though it is starving for fuel. I changed fuel filter and air filter?

Check the fuel pressure, should be 30 psi at idle and 40 with the fuel pressure regualtor vacuum hose off and plugged. If it falls low under a load its a weak fuel pump.A diagnostic check for codes with a scan tool should be done to see if there are other issues, such as with the throttle position sensor for example
