Customer Question

My 2005 Ford F-150 won't start. Just had battery and alternator checked and they're good. Starter is good too. Just seems there is a bad electrical connection. My positive post was pretty corroded but cleaned it off and still acts like dead battery

When I get a jump start it turns over fine. 12.5 volt reading on the battery.

Hello, was the starter test off of the vehicle?

Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

If it turns over when jump started you either have a bad battery ground or starter ground. It's possible the positive cable has high resistance and is wore out as well.
