So you have the big battery cable hooked up which may be black and the purple wire to the starter solenoid that comes from the ignition switch. What other wire ar you looking for and what makes you believe there is a wire missing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
disconnected three wires two big one small,

The one small was the purple? Of the 2 big you have one hooked back up? Which one are you missing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I only see the 2 wire in this diagram, perhaps you are mistaken.

Does the starter not work now?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Are you missing a big wire or that smaller one?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
three bolts coming out the wire that comes out of the starter itself is on one terminal the small wire in the middle the battery wire should connect to the last terminal, correct. this is a pontiac bonneville

I don't know what you are talking about "three bolts coming out of the wire".

You said, you thought there were 3 wires and you were missing one. You also said there were 2 big wires and one small. I then asked you which one was missing. Can you just answer that, so I know what you are talking about, then move on.
