I have a 2002 ford f-250, there is an alarm that starts

Customer Question

I have a 2002 ford f-250, there is an alarm that starts beeping when driving. It beens 5-6 times pauses 10 seconds then beeps 5-6 more this goes through several cycles before stopping for about 15 minutes then it all starts again. Its not a seatbelt alarm and all the doors are shut. the only light on the dash is the ABS are these connected somehow?

It just beeps from under the dash with no corresponding lights right?

That is the Airbag warning buzzer. At some point the air bag system triggered a fault and either the air bag light is burned out or it is disconnected. The system detects the air bag light not working and begins sounding the buzzer.

I'm attempting to accept, but something is malfunctioning.

Where is the plug in for the airbags

Is there a way to reset the system?
Expert:  Jared D replied 1 year ago.

Normally you just have to repair the fault in the airbag system. Here is a diagram for how to disconnect the module and reconnect it, which might reset the system.

Sorry, first step.
