When the vehicle won't start is the engine hot or cold?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Cold
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

This is usually a glow plug issue. If the vehicle temp is below 80 degrees glow plugs are needed for this engine to start. If you have a multi meter you can test the glow plugs and the glow plug relay. This is going to be the main cause for this engine to not start when cold.

Glow plugs are realitively new. I will test the relay
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

If the glow plug relay isn't turning on for some reason some of these vehicles had an issue where the ground driver inside the PCM would burn out.
