Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sometimes I wonder if it will start. I have read online about fuel pump..... is that the problem?
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Ok but it cranks over slowly all the time, only cold, only hot? need a little more information please

Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Or it just cranks over at normal speed and takes a while for the engine to fire up?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All the time.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When I turn the key I have to hold it approx 3 seconds. I have to do this a couple times before it starts.
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

If its cranking slowly like a weak battery have you tested the battery or tried jumping it and see if the engine turns over faster?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
battery is fine
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

It cranks at a normal speed or slowly?

Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

You are saying the engine cranks slow, trying to go after the right concern

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Normal speeed but sounds like its starving
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Ok yes could be a fuel pump issue especially if you have to turn the key to on a few times to build up fuel pressure, If you have a fuel pressure gauge you can verify if you have low fuel pressure

Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Should have approx. 60 psi with the key on, engine off and hold pressure, you can also check to see if the fuel filter is restricted

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will check. how do I check for restriction?
Expert:  HDGENE replied 1 year ago.

Pull off the fuel filter and drain it, you should be able to blow through it easily
