My 02 Taurus had an electrical issue that I was able to fix.

Customer Question

My 02 Taurus had an electrical issue that I was able to fix. Since I was working on the wiring under the hood and did not want to accidentally short out a fuse, I disconnected the hot side of the battery. When I was done with the repair the next day. I hand no lights, or anything else. Rechecked everything I did, but can not find anything that I did wrong. Any ideas?

Can you go into detail on the repair you were doing?

So nothing has power, the car is just silent when trying everything?

What is the voltage on the battery cables?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The voltage is a strong 12.5 volts

nothing electrical works. While I was doing the repair, I noticed the dome light in the car was on; but not when I replaced it in the car.

Under the hood, do most of the fuses have battery voltage?

What were you repairing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
all of the fuses under the hood have voltage. Can the fuse ox inside the car be causing the problem. I could not trace the source for the box under the hood?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
By the way, the repair I had to do was to replace the fuse box under the hood. The box was all wrapped with duct tape when I bought the car and I install a new box from a junk yard. I checked each circuit to insure they were getting voltage. Once I went inside the car to see if anything was wrong, is when lost the voltage., however I never found voltage there.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
