Hello, my name it Frank
have a 96 Taurus that the AC stopped working suddenly. Have over 100psi in refrigerant tried replacing the ccrm.

Hello, is 100psi on the low side or high side? What is your current outside temp?

It's the only port I can put a freon can / Guage on...back on the firewall

You have a high low side pressure. It is difficult to diagnose AC with low side pressure but not high side pressure. With a high low side pressure has an overcharge condition. The only way to know for sure is to evacuate it and measure how much is removed. If cans from the part store were used some have sealer in them. AC sealer will ruin your AC system very quickly.
