Where is the driver's seatbelt sensor located? Can I inspect it? I don't want to pay top dollar for someone to fix a loose connection. I am interested in common solutions that you could have me just spend a few minutes looking at, understanding that this could be any of 100 different issues...

Check the wiring at the drivers seat belt buckle. Make sure it is plugged in. That is all I can say about inspecting. Other wise, the code will be needed.
