FORD RANGER: I'm trying to swap the seats from a 1997 Ford

Customer Question

I'm trying to swap the seats from a 1997 Ford Ranger and put them in a 2004 Ford Ranger. The 1997 has no passenger airbag. There is a electrical cable through the floor that is attached to the passenger side seat in the 2004 but no such corresponding attachment in the 1997. What is this? Can it be ignore or bypassed? Should it be ignored or bypassed?

Hi, my name is ***** ***** wire harness is for the seat occupancy sensor, and needs to be hooked up, if the 97 did not have a passenger side air bag, then this seat will not work in this, as the air bag light will always be on and the airbags deactivated, you nned the proper seat with the sensor i it,Tim
